dclouse > In order to stay ahead of "the sweepers", you have to keep a pace better than 16 minutes per mile. Lynn Clouse (aka "Big Winner") almost beat them, but at 8 1/2 miles they caught her and forced her to ride the bus... Next time she vows to stay ahead of those nasty sweepers! Lynn was actually in first place for her division of US Virgin Island female contestants!!!

dclouse > 16,000 started, Dave finished in position 10,048 out of 12,283 total who finished. 13.1 miles in a total time 3 hr: 11 min :10 sec - the fastest runner finished in 1:06:53, so Dave has some training to do! Lynn says he would have been in the top finalists if he hadn't stayed with her slower pace until mile #6 at the Magic Kingdom when the sweepers started threatening to scoop her up.
